O2 UK Ltd Futures Programme
The purpose
Our 'Futures Leadership programme' was selected to assist O2 UK Ltd in developing its managers and prepare them for roles in senior management.
The process
The delegates were chosen using a Changing Perspective Ltd development centre and Meta-Leadership® assessment tool. This tool is used throughout the programme to demonstrate change and progress for the managers.
During this Leadership development programme we offered five interlinking elements:
- Training events
Our experienced trainers from business and academia provided a series of five 2-day events, which offered insights into modern thinking in leadership and allowed delegates to develop skills that could apply directly to their present and future roles.
- Mentoring/Coaching
Delegates were also given a mentor/coach who challenged and supported their personal development throughout the programme, giving delegates a real opportunity to achieve results through the use of new tools, techniques and the application of business theories.
- Group project
- Master classes
To give a depth of knowledge on issues facing today's leaders a series of ½ day masterclasses was delivered by experts acknowledged in the appropriate fields such as Risk Management, Knowledge Management and Leading Change
- Celebration event
The delegates were able to demonstrate a substantial return on the investment both individually and as a group which was incorporated in their video presentations of their personal journeys delivered at the celebration day.
- Conclusions and returns
This project resulted in:
- 7 members of the group promoted or responsibilities extended
- A measurable downturn in absenteeism for delegates department
- Team satisfaction measures increased in many delegates teams
- Actual measured returns of £650,000 through project work
- 3 members of the group available as talent pool for future projects
